STOCK RUG FAQs

Q: WHEN WILL MY RUG ORDER SHIP?

A: All rugs are made to order by hand. Current lead times due to COVID are 16-24 weeks. This is just an estimate and ever changing with the current shipping climate.  A tracking number will be provided once your rug ships. Rugs typically ship via Fedex. Rugs 9' x 12' and larger require freight special delivery and we will reach out to set up once your order is ready. 

 

Q: CAN YOU RUSH MY RUG?

A: Unfortunately due to current world wide delays due to Covid we can not accommodate rush orders at this time. Sorry!

 

Q. Eeeek! I CHANGED MY MIND. CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

A. Orders can be canceled within 24 hrs of purchase. Please email us at shop@trishandersenstudio.com 

 

Q:  DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?

A: We do not accept returns or exchanges, as all of our rugs are made to order. 

If you are unsure of an item, or need any additional information, please feel free to email us before purchase. We are happy to answer any questions.

If you are concerned about color or quality, we have samples available for a $150 refundable deposit. 

We offer a limited warranty you can see here 

DAMAGED MERCHANDISE: We will happily replace any defective merchandise. Please contact us at shop@trishandersenstudio.com within 5 days of receipt of item to qualify for replacement. Before contacting us, please note the following: 

  • In order to qualify for an exchange, please include date of purchase and image of damaged / defective item
  • If your item arrived damaged, please contact us with an image of the damaged packing/box and item. We can not file a claim with out proof of the damage caused during transit. 
  •  Items which arrive damaged are eligible for replacement only if the item has not been put to use after discovery of damage. Additionally, please do not attempt to alter or correct the product before contacting us, as this may render it ineligible for exchange. 

 

Q: DO YOU HAVE SAMPLES SO I CAN SEE THE COLOR IN PERSON?

A: Yes! Samples (24”x 24”) are available in each style for a $150 deposit + shipping. 

The deposit will be refunded or deducted from your total order once the sample is returned. Samples must be returned 10 days from the time of receipt.

 

Q: CAN I ORDER SIZES LARGER THAN 8 X10?

A: Yes! We offer 9 ’x 12’, 12 ’x 15’, 12’ x 18’ for the PURE and MIXY and 10' dia and 12' dia in the SPLAT. These sizes require additional freight and handling.

 Q: DO YOU SHIP RUGS INTERNATIONALLY?

A: We unfortunately do not ship internationally at this time. We may explore this option in the future so please feel free to sign up for our mailing list to stay in the loop. 

 

 Q: CAN THE RUGS BE USED IN A COMMERCIAL SETTING?

 A: The rugs are recommended for residential and light public space use. Please note: due to the rug thickness and varying pile heights they do not meet ADA requirements for commercial settings. 

We can fabricate the designs in a construction that meets commercial standards. Please reach out to custom@trishandersenstudio.com for more info. 

 

Q: WILL YOU OFFER OTHER COLOR WAYS IN THE FUTURE?

A: Yes! We plan on releasing additional color ways in the future. Best way to stay in the loop is to sign up for our mailing list.

 

Custom RUG FAQ

 
Q: DO YOU CREATE CUSTOM STAIR RUNNERS AND HOW MUCH DO THEY COST?
A: Yes we do!  We offer custom rugs and stair runners to trade only. TA Studio team will work with you to produce a stunning custom runner to your specific needs. We currently only offer custom stair runners in our Pure and Mixy styles. 
Pricing is determined on a per project basis based on complexity.
                     
Straight runs down stairs in the Pure or Mixy styles start at $175 per square foot.
If you are interested in a completely custom design rugs start at $275 per square foot
                               
All custom runners are produced by hand in Portugal by a woman owned studio. Lead time varies on a per project basis.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
Q: HOW DO I MEASURE MY STAIRS IN ORDER TO GET AN ESTIMATE AND KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS?

A: For a ballpark estimate you can find the estimated total square footage needed for the stair runner by using the formula below. 

Ballpark Cost for a straight run custom stair runner project will be TOTAL SQUARE FOOTAGE X $175 x 20% + shipping 

 Elements such as landing corner turns, and “spills” at base of stairs will be an additional cost. Unfortunately we can only do landings that are right angles and can not accommodate complex angles or turns.

If moving forward with production and to receive a final quote, we will need more detailed measurements of each stair. This be done by a professional carpet installer. Please reach out to shop@trishandersenstudio.com for more details. 

 

Q: I HAVE A TURN IN MY STAIRS. CAN YOU DO CORNER TURNS FOR LANDINGS?

A: Yes we do!  We will need exact measurements of the landing + the measurements (see above diagram) of the straight stair runs in order to formulate a quote.

Unfortunately we can only do landings that are right angles and can not accommodate complex angles or turns.

These measurements need to be provided by a professional carpet installer.

Q: I'M PRETTY HANDY AND I THINK I CAN TAKE THE MEASUREMENTS MYSELF.  DO I REALLY NEED TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL CARPET INSTALLER? 

A: Production files are created based on the measurements you provide.  TA Studio is not responsible for measuring errors.  For all custom rugs, we highly recommend working with a professional carpet installer to get the exact  measurements to ensure your rug fits properly for installation.

 

Q: HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE STAIR RUNNERS?

A: This is not a DIY product. Stair runners must be installed by a professional carpet installer. 

 

Q: CAN YOU DO THE DESIGNS IN CUSTOM COLORS?

A: We do offer custom colors based on our manufacturers stock available colors to trade only.

 Price based on project. Colors are limited to the number of colors already in the design.

We require a color strike off to be produced for final approval.

Additional lead time determined on a per project basis.

 

Q: WHAT IS THE LEAD TIME ON A CUSTOM PROJECT?

A: Lead time is determined on a per project basis. Typically it will be 14-16 weeks from the time of design approval. Design development time varies per project. 

 

Q: CAN YOU DO CUSTOM INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS?

A: Yes, to trade only. All custom international projects must be shipped to a business address. 

 

 Q: CAN YOU DO A CUSTOM SIZE FOR MY LIVING ROOM?

A: Yes we can do custom sizes.  Pricing and additional lead time varies on a per project basis. Please reach out to shop@trishandersenstudio.com for more details.

Max length and width is 20’W x 40’L.

 

Q: I HAVE A COOL IDEA FOR A CUSTOM RUG. CAN YOU PRODUCE IT FOR ME?

A: Sorry! Unfortunately we are only producing our own designs.



Q: CAN I USE THE STOCK SIZED (2’6” X 8’) RUNNERS ON MY STAIRS AND NOT PAY FOR CUSTOM?

A: Totally! You will just need to make sure the width will fit your stairs and order multiple runners to make up the total length needed.

 

We suggest you work with a professional carpet installer to measure and install the runners so you account for extra length needed for installation. Your installer can advise on you the needs for your specific stairs.

 

Please be aware that with this option the pattern will not always line up perfectly but the installer can advise you on where cuts can be made to make it as seamless as possible.

 

 

MAT FAQs

Q: WHEN WILL MY MAT ORDER SHIP?

A: Orders are processed Monday-Friday. Please allow 24 hours for your order to be processed. The mats are all made to order and drop ship directly from our manufacturer in 4-5 days.  Orders are shipped via FEDEX parcel post from Georgia. Transit times are typically 2-7 business days depending on location. 

 

Q: DO YOU OFFER EXPEDITED SHIPPING FOR MATS?

A: Yes, we can offer expedited shipping options. Please email us at shop@trishandersenstudio.com before placing your order to make arrangements.

 

Q:  DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?

A: Yes! We offer refunds for mats (for the cost of product only) if we hear from you within 15 days of receiving the goods. The product must be unused. Exchanges or store credit are available between 15-30 days of you receiving the goods. Please visit the Returns and Shipping link below for more info.

 

Q: DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

A: We unfortunately do not ship internationally at this time. We may explore this option in the future so please feel free to sign up for our mailing list to stay in the loop.

 

Q: IS THERE A LOCAL PICK UP LOCATION?

A: All Floor Mats are made to order and drop ship from our manufacturer so we do not have any mats in stock for pick up. 

 

Q: DO YOU MAKE CUSTOM SIZED FLOOR MATS?

A: We wish! These are the only sizes available. We have had customers lay multiple mats next to each other to cover more area fairly seamlessly. They are also easily cut with a box cutter and straight edge if you need a smaller size or oddly shaped fit.

 

Q: CAN I USE MY FLOOR MAT OUTDOORS?

A: You can! But we recommend only using in areas like fully covered porches and balconies because direct sunlight will cause them to fade over time drastically.

 

Q: HOW DO I CLEAN MY FLOOR MAT?

A: The Floor Mats are machine washable on warm setting with laundry detergent (no bleach). Air dry flat. Ensure the mat is dry before placing on floor and place only on a dry floor. You can also spot clean with dish soap and a towel. 

 

BLANKET FAQs

Q: WHEN WILL MY BLANKET ORDER SHIP?

A: Orders are processed Monday-Friday. Please allow 24 hours for your order to be processed. The blankets are all made to order and drop ship directly from our manufacturer in 2-3 weeks.  Orders are shipped via UPS parcel post ground. Transit times are typically 1-5 business days depending on location. Unfortunately, we are only offering shipping within the US at this time.

 

Q: HOW DO I WASH MY NEW BLANKET?

A:  Hand or Machine wash separately in cold water on delicate cycle using mild detergent.  No bleach.  Line dry or machine dry on cool cycle only.

 

Q: MY BLANKET ARRIVED DAMAGED.  WHAT CAN I DO?

A:  Please email us at shop@trishandersenstudio.com with picture of the damage, and we will make immediate arrangements to return and replace your blanket.

Q: WHAT IS AN AFFILIATE AND HOW TO I BECOME ONE?

Q: DO YOU HAVE ARTWORK FOR SALE?

A: Yes! You can see the currently available works here.  We are happy to provide pricing upon request at info@trishandersenstudio.com

 

Q: DO YOU TAKE FINE ART COMMISSIONS?
A: Yes, we take commissions! Commissions are priced based on size and complexity. Here is a link to some commission we have done in the past.

Lead time is typically 6-8 weeks once sketches are approved and the commission is on our schedule.  Please email us at info@trishandersenstudio.com for more info. 

 

Q: WHAT IS THE TOOL YOU ARE USING CALLED?

A: Trish uses a tool called a single needle tufting gun. It is typically used in rug manufacturing but she uses it to create her art. You can see more about her studio and process here



Q: DO YOU OFFER WORKSHOPS? OR STUDIO VISITS?

A: Trish does not currently offer in-person workshops, but stay tuned for an online workshop coming soon!

Due to Covid concerns, we are doing studio visits on a case by case basis. Please reach out and let us know when you will be in town at info@trishandersenstudio.com.
